Mi Quang
31 Aug
Mi Quang ( pronounced mee-huang) is a vietnamese noodle dish which differ from other normal vietnamese noodle soup dishes. This was the first dish that I had as soon as we touched down Danang City in the southern area of Vietnam. According to my husband, this noodle dish can only be found there. The base of this soup is generally pork and prawn broth although some families would use chicken as well. The difference with this noodles is that the soup barely covers the noodles and you will have to eat this dish quick or else the noodles will absorb the soup and you will be left with a dry bowl of soggy noodles! So this is basically my version of mi quang although i cheated by using just plain rice noodles.

25 MarMy first encounter with vintage fashion was while I was a student at university and buying brand new clothings was just creating a big hole in my pocket. So i ventured into op shops and retro stores for much cheaper items and since everything is pretty old, i thought why not bring these old items back to life with a modern twist of course.. and that was where my journey begins. i’m particularly loving the circa of 1940′s to 1960′s for their gorgeous frocks, feminine style, history and how can i not love the old tunes of Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka… the list goes on and on.
My sister in law was my model here and introducing behind the scene crew, my nephews….
they loved playing dress ups indeed.
